FishTomo – a Novel underwater screening approach for Winter Ulcer Disease detection

The FishTomo project develops a multimodal imaging platform for investigating winter ulcer disease in fish. The project combines acoustic imaging and fringe projection profilometry for non-invasive tissue characterization. Acoustic imaging provides information about subsurface tissue structure, while fringe projection profilometry measures surface morphology and ulcer topography. By integrating acoustic and optical data, FishTomo aims to improve understanding of disease progression, tissue integrity, and fish health for sustainable aquaculture applications.
